Belette Team Studio
Producer, Level Designer, QA, UI/UX - Internship
One of my first tasks for Belette Team Studios was to work on level design and balancing in Unity to try and predict ally and enemy behavior depending on where obstacles were placed on the grid. The idea was to see how to adapt difficulty according to introduced gameplay points introduced in the missions, but also to see how to prepare situations for the player to strategize. The level design was made and tested directly in Unity, along with balancing that went through an Excel phase.
My main mission was to be a QA tester and test each new patch according to our current sprint's objectives. Each patch was then analyzed and tested, then discussed with our developers to list bugs and optimizable features to be able to plan our priorities for the current and next sprint if needed.
During this internship, I was also in charge of checking in between the art departmeent and the programming team to determine if priorites were respected and if deadlines were comling along nicely or not. This was especially useful after each QA session to make sure that each team was able to make the correections needed in the best manner without big delays in each time's schedule.
For my last mission, I was tasked to assist the art departement to work on UI redesign in prevision of upcoming meetings with editors and Gamescom. I worked in tandem with Louise HUTEAU (Game Art) to prepare several tests on different panels and menus to upgrade it and make sure our user experience was efficient.
